About Serve Humanity Serve God Charitable
Serve Humanity Serve God Charitable Trust SHSG established in 2016 is dedicated to serving spinal cord injury patients including paraplegia and quadriplegia cases. Guided by the philosophy Serve Humanity Serve God and the spirit of Dasvandh this mission works to provide dignity care and independence to vulnerable individuals.
Free Rehabilitation and Recovery Support
This mission acts as a lifeline for rehabilitation and recovery providing completely free services for the past eight years ensuring no patient is denied treatment due to lack of money. The organization operates a rehabilitation center in Punjab located in Madanheri designed for wheelchair accessibility and patient comfort. The center supports around 60 patients who arrive with severe bedsores mobility loss and emotional distress.
Spinal Cord Injury Challenges in India
Across India thousands of people suffer from spinal cord injuries SCI due to accidents falls and medical conditions. Most belong to financially weak families and cannot afford rehabilitation treatment. These patients lose mobility become dependent and face emotional trauma and social isolation.
Critical Condition and Bedsore Risks
Many patients develop chronic bedsores which become life threatening without proper treatment. Due to lack of awareness and resources infections worsen leading to serious complications and even death. Families struggle to manage medical expenses and proper care.
